A teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying, and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take out a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up, just not to rip it. Then she then had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty it was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now, even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bullies another child, They may say they're sorry, but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message had hit home. Copy and paste this if you are against bullying.

Ok, so I didn't originate this, but it's a subject I completely believe in. I suffered through bullying and harassment from everybody from my stepfather on out. My mother stood by and allowed it, and frequently reinforced it by making me feel like it was all my own fault. In time I came to realize that my stepfather's problem was that he was an ass, and couldn't accept his own faults. His first wife not only divorced him because of his emotional abuse of her and their children, she got a court order preventing him from having any contact with her or the children. This was back in the 60's, when no court in the country would deny a father his right to see his children, but HE was denied. I remember that my own father was in some ways worse, not only was he verbally abusive but he reinforced it with physical abuse too. This is why my mother eventually divorced him. I have long suspected that she got pregnant with me as a means to force my father to grow up, and when it didn't work she blamed me for failing her, even though I was just a tiny child, barely two years old when she divorced him. The difference between the two was that somewhere along the line my stepfather learned that physical abuse was not going to be tolerated so he restricted himself to verbal/emotional abuse.
This raw start at life lead into other problems, arguments with other children that brought around more bullying. In the end my spirit was nearly completely crushed. My hopes that life would get better were always stymied by my own terrors of having the past repeated.
I don't know how or even why I managed to survive until I turned 54 back in August. But I'm still here, and for some odd reason I still care about others and hope that others manage to find a better life. I'm not religious, but God bless, you, every one.
As we roll into the holiday season, be well, and take care.

Lots of downloads
My fans will note I've been downloading a lot more renders than ever before. I produce at least one new render every 2 days unless something prevents. I have scores of things from the days I was working with Genesis2 I'd like to show off as well as tons of G8 renders that are just sitting on my harddrive doing nothing even though I think they are reasonably complete. I have a couple here and there with stories to go with them but it's harder for me to get the longer stories finished. I keep trying to shorten them to get them done but then I get focused on one element of the story and go overboard until I need a break, and sadly once I break, I'm done. Rather than go back to something that's 2/3 finished I'll start over and treat the previous pieces as rough drafts. In any case I intend to toss out groups of four renders I like as often as I can, maybe every week or two. I hope you all approve; if it starts to be an overwhelming flood let me know and I can cut back. Hm, I was looking
DA prudes and artist bans.
I am sure that like everybody else here I'm being inundated by AI art. Every so often I find an artist that does stuff I find very intriguing. In this case it was mild fetish SciFi art with girls wearing slave collars and generally very little else. I discovered the gallery last night. Started downloading art for my private gallery. JUST NOW the artist was banned and the gallery deleted. I am guessing it was primarily because the artist didn't hide everything behind a paywall. This has been happening fairly often, the AI artists that don't do the repetitive crap and actually have an imagination get banned. Meanwhile I'm constantly poked at by DA to welcome "new artists" 99% of whom are bad AI artists. Needless to say I don't acknowledge them. I am very badly caught up in this AI art craze; I can't help but be attracted to shiny. But I'm spending way more time looking at so-so AI art than I am at the galleries of the 400 artists I'm watching. Which is just plain dumb. A few years
Mass Effect Asari
Everybody knows the Asari from Mass Effect right? They have this special ability that makes every other species think they are attractive - So there is this community - I think they are nuts - that think the Asari are using Mind Control to make everybody see them as something close to their own species enough to be attractive, and they actually are some sort of tentacle monster. I do digital art so I was looking at one of the creatures somebody made. And the thought hit me that it would be funny to post a picture of that creature as an image of what the Asari really look like. - https://www.daz3d.com/horror-from-the-deep-the-brood
Firefox/photo viewer glitch
For some reason every time I download an image via Firefox it is opening in photo viewer the moment the download is complete. I don't want that, I often download 50 to 100 images a day. Anyone got any advice?

"Bullying" usually makes me think of similar age children as perpetrators, but you are right to include adults like your step-father.
I am glad you are still here.
