Artist's Comments

This was my other concept pic for my Star Wars Saga RPG character and his Padawan as Cathar - the Felinoid aliens that were nearly driven to extinction by the Mandalorians early in the first Mandalorian war. I figured I'd go for a Middle Eastern flavor with them. I ended up deciding to go with the Twi'lek's instead due to popular demand of the other Players and the GM - which I'm fine with. Though I have discovered that I'm the social monger in the group, and I have the least clue what's going on since I'm one of the newer players.

It's still pretty rough, I had a bunch of ideas for rounding it out some more, but since it's a route I'm not going I'm just going to scrap it and leave it as-is.

Nice work. Esp on the female of course is mainly who Ive got my eyes on lol, well that is a cute and sexy outfil. I dont know if its cos of the backdrop colours or some other reason, but the blue lightsabre seems to have come looking somewhat better than the bright yellow one. The yello one seems a tad flat in comparison

Thanks, and yeah, the yellow is harder to work with because it washes out a bit in the light. Yellow is nearer to white than blue, so it washes out more in white light - make sense? If I did the lighting in something reddish the yellow would stand out a lot more.

Yeah I understand what your saying, I know with colouring that some colours are a hell of a lot harder to bring out the same effects on. I wonder if using a slightly lighter or different colour for the haze effect would bring it out more. Course I bearly understand the process of rendering

I think that what I would have needed to do actually was darken the layer that produced the glow in order to make it more vibrant against the bright light - and probably dim the lighting a little, which I usually end up doing a lot for that set's lights. I might go back some time and play with it to see what I can do, but I've got like 6 other projects that I'm working on that take precedence ATM - so it's just going to sit as-is for some time.
